2007, Portuguese production motorcycles on post stamps

CTT's philatelic department challenged the Portuguese to give their opinion on future philatelic issues, in that sense a competition was prepared "Aqui há selo", as a result of this consultation, on 4 July 2007, CTT launched a collection of stamps whose motive was: "motorcycles made in Portugal". The official launch was made in collaboration with MOTO CLUBE DE FARO (in the year of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of this association), with obliterations of the 1st day in Lisbon, Porto, Funchal and Ponta Delgada. The collection was designed by ATELIER ACÁCIO SANTOS (illustrations by Hélder Soares). The research/elaboration work on the topic was carried out by Pedro Pinto (a name well known in the classic motorcycle scene in Portugal).
