Jacky Ickx, born in Belgium in 1945, has an eclectic and outstanding career in motorsport: he won the 24 HOURS DE LE MANS six times, won eight Formula 1 races (having finished 25 times on the podium), was champion of the CAN-AM series in 1979 and won the PARIS-DAKAR. However, his early career in motorcycling is less well known: he participated in Trial, Speed and in 1962 he participated (Enduro) in the ISDT (first designation of the current ISDE) in the 50cc class, having won a silver medal.
